Alison McRory 

Trustee

Alison McGrory is Associate Director of Public Health with NHS Highland, based in Argyll and Bute. She has over 30 years’ experience in public health and is committed to reducing inequalities, strengthening community voice and enabling system change. Living and working in a remote and rural area, Alison brings a deep understanding of the challenges of distance, access and service delivery, alongside the strengths of place, strong social connections and community resilience.

Her work focuses on collective leadership and place-based approaches that build on these assets, alongside a growing interest in reimagining democracy through deeper, more meaningful collaboration with communities. She is passionate about social justice and the wellbeing economy, and about working alongside communities to create healthier, fairer futures.
