Ciaran Donaghy
Trustee
Ciaran is a policy and public affairs professional with extensive experience working across the UK's devolved nations on issues spanning economic and social policy. He currently leads stakeholder engagement and policy work across Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland in the higher education sector, with a particular focus on systemic reform, regulation, and emerging challenges facing the tertiary education system.
Ciaran has long been an advocate for progressive economic models, having co-chaired UBI Lab Northern Ireland, where he campaigned for the introduction of a Universal Basic Income pilot in the region. His academic work includes an MSc in International Public Policy from Queen's University Belfast, where his dissertation examined Community Wealth Building as a route to more resilient and equitable local economies.
Combining grassroots campaigning experience with policy expertise, Ciaran brings a strong commitment to wellbeing economics and community-centred approaches to his role as a Trustee of WEAll Scotland.
