These past six months as Interim Director of WEAll Scotland have been a privilege for me working alongside a fantastic and inspiring team of people including the chair of our board, trustees, associates, and our volunteers, all playing their part to build a more compassionate economy in Scotland.

I’m delighted to have the opportunity to continue to lead WEAll Scotland as Director at this crucial time in Scotland’s transition to a Wellbeing Economy where the discussion is now shifting to its delivery and implementation.

Given the urgency of the multiple challenges Scotland’s people and communities face, now is the time to accelerate the scaling up of a Wellbeing Economy in Scotland. It is more important than ever to show that the Wellbeing Economy agenda is the right agenda; that this is the right road to take; that this is a protective and preventative agenda fundamental to addressing people’s needs and concerns. And to also show the difference a Wellbeing Economy can bring to their lives, livelihoods, and communities by improving their life chances for the better.

There’s lots of innovative and exciting things happening around the Wellbeing Economy agenda in Scotland.

I’m looking forward to continuing to play my part with the WEAll Scotland team working together with all our key partners, members, networks, funders, and other groups and organisations across Scotland to help drive this agenda forward. And support Scotland lead the way to building an economy that prioritises the wellbeing of people and our environment and delivers social justice on a healthy planet for all.
