We’re delighted to share some exciting news: Lisa Hough-Stewart has been appointed as the new Director of Wellbeing Economy Scotland.
Lisa brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to building an economy that works for people and planet. She has been part of the global WEAll team since it was established in 2018, helping advance wellbeing economy ideas in practice particularly with policymakers and in the European region. As part of the team that set up WEAll Scotland as the first WEAll country hub, Lisa has supported its projects and activities since 2018, and has been interim Director of WEAll Scotland since February this year.
Before joining WEAll, Lisa was Campaigns and Communications Manager at Oxfam Scotland and also worked in sustainability reporting and policy in the finance sector.
As Scotland approaches an important political moment, Lisa’s appointment comes at the right time.
On her appointment, Lisa Hough-Stewart said;
“Working with the wellbeing economy movement internationally, I’ve always been passionate about Scotland’s leadership on this agenda. So I’m honoured to take on this role at such an important moment for Scotland, and excited to work with our members and partners to help build an economy that truly works for everyone.”
Doreen Grove, Chair of WEAll Scotland said:
“Lisa brings the experience, values and leadership we need for the next chapter of WEAll Scotland. We’re thrilled to have her leading the organisation at such a pivotal time.”
We look forward to working with Lisa, and with all of you, to continue growing the movement for a Wellbeing Economy in Scotland.
