Our Membership and Network Lead, Jenny Coxon, reflects on the people and ideas that make up the WEAll Scotland network, and how members can help bring our new strategy to life.

Every time I meet a member of the WEAll Scotland network, I am blown away by their passion, enthusiasm and ambition to transform Scotland’s economic system so that it  improves people’s lives while protecting the planet. In my new role as Membership and Network Lead, each conversation brings both hope and possibility.

Our network is an eclectic and energising mix of individuals, creatives, facilitators, community organisations, business owners, academics and NGO leaders. Hearing people’s lightbulb moments about when they realised we need economic system change is another blog  in itself!   At the heart of it all,  is the thread that brings us together… we can do better than this.

What if we made the intentional choice to prioritise the wellbeing of  people and the planet rather than treating profit and economic growth as ends in themselves?

WEAll Scotland is in a unique position to connect you with other people, organisations and ideas across Scotland championing a wellbeing economy. Your knowledge, stories and practical examples all contribute to a stronger collective voice for economic system change.

Our new membership offer will bring more opportunities for connections to flourish, through gatherings, working groups, learning sessions, campaigns and policy work. We recognise that everyone has different interests and levels of capacity, and there will be a variety of ways and options to take part.

Our three strategic priorities for 2026-28, sets out how we can do this:

  • Mobilise the Movement: Connecting and strengthening the people and organisations working to transform Scotland’s economy.

  • Change the Narrative: Making the Wellbeing Economy easier to understand and show what it can mean for people’s lives.

  • Amplify and Advocate: Building support among decision-makers and helping turn ideas into meaningful policy and practice.

Our members are central to all three priorities because change cannot happen in isolation or be delivered by one organisation alone. We are here to support and help you find useful opportunities that match your needs and experiences around our shared purpose. I look forward to connecting with you, learning more about your work, and supporting your involvement in the network.

As WEAll Scotland members you are the people who bring a wellbeing economy to life and at the heart of this work. Our current economic system was designed – which means we have the power to redesign it.

So, let's ask ourselves: What’s the best that could happen?
