Satwat Rehman

Satwat Rehman is Chief Executive of One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS), the national charity working with and for single parent families. Her work starts from a simple conviction: an economy should be judged by whether families can live with dignity, security and hope, not by growth alone.

Satwat co-chairs Scotland's third Just Transition Commission alongside Professor Dave Reay, having previously co-chaired its second. In that role she has argued that the move to net zero must be fair to people on low incomes, to workers and to communities. She serves on the independent Minimum Income Guarantee Expert Group, is a trustee of the Child Poverty Action Group, and sits on the board of the economics think tank Future Economy Scotland.

She brings deep knowledge of Scotland's child poverty framework.  She also has long experience of working with the Scottish Parliament and Government to turn policy ambition into change people can feel.

She joins WEAll Scotland's Ambassador programme to help build a wellbeing economy that works for everyone, with care, equity, justice and the planet at its heart.
